Interview Van Benthem & Keulen
Johan Koggink, director Van Benthem & Keulen
We deliberately did not opt for an all-in-one package. Despite the fact that these are often excellent packages, they fall somewhat short for our office in some aspects. By working with an integrated work environment, in which specialist packages are linked, you work with the best available solution.
Van Benthem & Keulen is an accessible top firm with over 80 legal professionals in the legal profession and notarial practice. This firm is defined by its innovative and client-oriented character. This is expressed in the personal approach to its clients, in the service concept and in the application of contemporary technological possibilities to support this.
We have deliberately not chosen for an all-in-one package.
“Meanwhile, it is no longer the firms, but the clients who determine the rules of the game. They are becoming more demanding and want ‘more for less’. As a firm it is important that you identify this trend and embrace it. You have to continuously innovate on the basis of your client’s wishes, and in doing so you have to act on the basis of your own vision. When innovating, technology is important. This technology should not only make work processes more efficient, but also allow knowledge to be shared easily. This sharing of knowledge applies both internally and with clients. From this vision, the CRM system, Archie, will be at the forefront. It contains all the information about our business relations, both prospects and clients. As soon as a prospect becomes a client, your PMS and DMS system (iManage) should also be set up in such a way that the back office is streamlined. All data must be in order. On the basis of insightful reports you can make management decisions, including marketing and business development. Our old PMS system did not meet these requirements, so we went looking. Legalsense had nice references, especially in the field of user friendliness and content. There was only one small argument that could have stopped us: the relatively few references in our segment (Top 25). However, the Legalsense team has cleverly dispelled this fear over the past few months with several nice, similar assignments. We are now convinced that Legalsense offices of our size, with a similar philosophy and business processes, can provide excellent services.
We deliberately did not opt for an all-in-one package. Despite the fact that these are often excellent packages, they fall somewhat short for our office in some aspects. By working with an integrated work environment, in which specialist packages are linked, you work with the best available solution”.
